Great video dude! Your bachi technique during the song is very solid and consistent. This is particularly impressive, because bachi is normally where beginners overlook their playing. As you said, it was a little rushed, but I personally thought you played really well. Only problem I could point out there, is that you sped up a little nearing the end.
Your lessons with Penny are definitely paying off. Keep it up, he a very knowledgable Tsugaru Shamisen player!

Ah. A subtly I failed to notice. Yet again I’ll stress, youre very fortunate to be learning from Mike; he’s one of my best friends and heroes of the shamisen.
