Real Bamboo Koma

Here’s the finished komas - to be mailed to my daughter (Celia Olson) tomorrow. The finished heights are between 8 and 9mm. I notched one saddle at 9mm spacing, “per the book”. Celia can decide for herself about the other two.

If Celia is so inclined, she can post a video comparing the new bamboo komas with her current padauk ones. Honestly, I doubt anyone could tell the difference from a home recording.

beautiful workmanship!
impressive

Really nice work!

It pains me to see them stacked on each other though. It’s like an accident bound to happen!

I considered placing them end-to-end, to make a three-span bridge.

They look very professional, good job!

Oh my, those are lovely! I’m especially impressed how cleanly you made a thin saddle strip on top, rather than the easier method of making the entire saddle piece separately (like the bekkou koma on the Bachido banner on top).

Very professional! I’m starting to think that your alter ego is a superhero named CNC Man.
