Switching Shamisen Parts (Is it Possible?)

for some reason -

The itomaki in the middle- if i put in the right side on top or bottom - it kinda sticks out a bit.

but when I put it in the middle it doesn’t stick out.

is it suppose to stick out of the hole a bit? kind makes the itomaki (uneven) when you see all three together

Thats really weird. The itomaki are marked with 1 2 or 3 dots on the small end. Two dots means its ni no itomaki (for the second string) and three dots means its san no itomaki (for the third itomaki). Maybe yours are mismarked. It happens. Just do what looks most correct for now I guess.
