A ‘short’ introduction. I am Mark, born and raised in the Netherlands. Currently I am working to get all the materials to make my own shamisen. I want my first to be homemade, because I want to see if i have any of my grandfather’s skill in me (he studied old furniture making) and I like japanese traditional music. I studied cultural heritage.
I have been facinated by japan since I was twelve and started with anime (yes, I was a Weeb!) and then went into traditional culture more and more. At the moment I prefer softer shamisen music and would love to learn how to play sanshin someday.
I hope to meet lots of people on here and of course lots of helpfull tips!
