Hello everyone!
Mr Sai snail mailed me and says thank you for your cooperation for the interview and happy the radio broadcast has been successfully done. I, Kyoko, did a bit of interpretation for the interview for Josh and Anne at Taikai.
Some Japanese listeners of NHK would like to see team Bachido members from abroad and Mr. Sai is considering to report on TV next year!!! So, you old and new Bachido members definitely have to come to Japan, by all means.
Cheers everyone(^O^)/
Woo! A TV report would be really cool!
Time to start seriously working out, have to be ready for the cameras…oh and er hem perhaps practice some shamisen!
Thanks again for your assistance Kyoko! I’m happy I was able to debut on the radio ^_^!
Maybe an idea would be to have a Japanese translation of the site, and perhaps someone could offer to translate people’s biography pages. Could be interesting reading for the Japanese people that don’t read English.
Glad to hear we didn’t scare him away.
Totally excite for next year!
Of course, I’d love to go back again before the taikai to hang out. But at latest, I’ll be in attendance. Looking forward to it!
Also, Kyle is planning to make a translated version of the site with redubbed videos an everything. Its gonna take a bit, but hopefully he’ll has something by next taikai.
I really would like to come to Japan for the next Taikai,
altough nobody knows me by now and i just began to play shamisen =)
I’m a fresh member here in the Bachido-Community and didn’t introduce myself yet. I’ll take the chance now.
I’m a swiss guy who loves japan/japanese culture since my childhood.
Was in Japan (for the 1st time) in march for two weeks and i must say I love Japan even more.
As I came back i really wanted to deepen my interested in traditional japanese music. I knew the used instruments, but never touched one before. From the very first moment I decided it had to be the shamisen. In searching for such a musical device I stumbled upon the Bachido-Site.
Yeah…and here I am, determined to learn that beautiful instrument.
yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

Welcome Alessandro! I am with Adrian! Glad we didn’t scare him away. At first I was a little worried because Mr. Sai wanted to ride with us in our Bachido rental van. I understood that his intention was to try to get to the inside of the group’s feelings and get a feel for what it is like to be a Bachido team participant. However After doing this many years in row with Grant, Mike Penny, Kyle and others I knew more or less within a short time our peaceful and proffessional atmosphere was destined to deteriorate into an array of unrelatable Americanisms, inside jokes, Gansta Rap, Death Metal at full volume, honking through tunnels, and freestyle comedy routines! At one point I swear I looked over at Mr. Sai and he had a sweat stained expression of panic on his face that spelled out the words “Dear God, Where is my ibuprofen when I need it?”
Haha, you couldn’t have put it better Kevin.
Now I am beginning to understand why he looked a bit scared when coming to Kevin’s living room. And somehow I heard his unspoken voice, " How come a Japanese auntie is in the middle of … "
It will be cool to watch Bachido people on TV! Actualally, I listened to the radio show, then was thinking its worth being on TV show. Without visual impact, listenners cannot really tell who’s from where…
Thanks for the info, Kyoko-san. And, dozo yoroshiku onegai shimasu was as one of very few Japanese people actively involved with this Forum. I can post more messages now since Luke’s fixed the message pane problem !
Dou itashi mashite, Sayuri san. It is my pleasure and great honor to be a part of Bachido as a Japanese. And I see it’s cool to live in Auckland as a Japanese.
