Hey Kyle, I’ve been following your channel for a while, I have been really interested in shamisen for quite some time as I have played Chinese sanshin for many years. Finally I’ve had some money saved aside to get my self a good shamisen, I’m wondering aside from on the store website, are there any other good selections of good quality shsamisen you currently know of? I’m looking to get one and a good bachi and accesories as well

Happy to hear you want to start shamisen. Your skill with the San Xian will most definitely transfer to shamisen, so it should come easily for you. Is there a specific style shamisen you are interested in?
That’s a good question. There are other good shamisen available on the market, but I don’t know of them nor have personal experience with them.
As you can read here (http://bachido.com/products/standard-shamisen), shamisen are made from different woods. Is there a specific wood you would prefer?
The quality of shamisen depends on your budget. If you wish, feel free to PM me and I’d be happy to suggest the best shamisen to fit your current budget.
