I’m totally overwelmed by the characteristics of the wood, too. After cutting and grinding it looked brown, almost dirty. I placed it into the sun and it became like this !

I was wondering earlier if this could be the natural color of the wood or if you colored it sure looks awesome and amazing what kind of woods are out there created by nature . . . also made me think of the qualities of the kouki sao I have including a surprisingly bright red dust that showed up when I sanded the otherwise very dark brown wood sao
