I’m interested in the flexibility of the bachi.
I know bachi have been mentioned in the video (v. funny btw with putty knives and spatulas…)
Obviously the more expensive tortoiseshell is more flexible, what about the acrylic and the wood?
I’ve been playing with some plastic sheets today of various compositions (thank you big bro for your interesting box of goodies!) and some of them are strong and flexible, one was designed for making guitar picks. I’m toying with an idea of inserting a strip of some kind of plastic polymer into a wood bachi handle (for comfort) and wonder, 1. has this been done before, 2. if it would be possible, 3. how long the edge would last with use, 4.if i’ve gone crazy thinking about this…
