I am once again coming to you for help. Until my new Bachi arrives, is there some way I can MacGyver one, or use something else in replacement of it?

I saw a Video in where Kevin Metz used a wooden rice paddle to play. You could give that a give after dinner one night. haha!
Haha. Oh, oops! You watched that? Ummm. Yeah! Wooden or plastic rice scooper actually works (kinda). If you have a good sturdy Saw and an old hardcover book that you don’t mind destroying (I never liked that author anyway, kinda thing…) then you can cut out the shape of a Bachi from the book cover. Not a great alternative by any means but well…better than nothing I suppose.
In 100% complete seriousness, I wonder if a stiff plastic putty knife would be suitable? (Handle might be too thin though, but might work)
I just started yesterday and as I have just moved into a new house I can’t find the two bachi I have, as things are still not 100% organized. I tried a plastic putty knife and it works. I can’t say much about the sound as I am an uber newbie, but it’s OK for now.
