Bachido forum

ooo thanks karl ^.^
i’m on chrome
i usually right click an open new tab
that will be faster i think.

Kyle, many of us already have a profile pic of ourselves with our
shamisen.

Assuming I got permission to lift the pics, the photo quality usually isn’t that high. :-S For the front page, it’d be nice to have sharp, delicious-looking photos.

Every time I say something like that (usually referring to HD video), Papa sighs and tells me, “You know, Charlie Chaplin films are very highly regarded and were not in HD.”

I just realized that I have a few pics (a casual pic of Medusirena, Denver Norwood, and another guy) which I can put on as a beta version, so others can see how it will look, and contribute if they feel like it.
(When I get back)

Sounds good

I for one, am not tired of “Dat Ass” meme signatures, thank you.

Agreed on the photos for the front page still. I have always wanted it to be more like a current events, members photos, and blog style area than just an into page. Most sites will have a separate “About” tab such information.

When you want to start gathering photos, just make a sticky thread and ask everyone to upload them (since now we can imbed photos, it will be super easy).

Anyway, there’s always room for improvement here and there, but it’s gotten amazingly easier to use and more functional than Bachido beta, and it keeps getting better!

New featurZ:

Threads now collapse when they get over half a dozen posts long (or so). This is as an alternative to pagination, which poses some problems. It also greatly speeds up page loading in the longer threads, especially when tons of YouTube videos have been embedded, for example.

Ditto for private conversations. Also, external-links-in-new-windows/tabs are working again.

Sticky-thread idea is great for photos, Grant. Regarding a more “dynamic” front page, that’s still in the hopper. I like the idea, but equally important is to present a good picture of “what the heck is this?” to new visitors. Perhaps logged-in users could be shown something else. Or, you could just set http://toneway.com/community to be your homepage.

Thumbs up Luke! That MoS CD thread was killing me. Especially when on my smartphone. I think you should increase the number of posts at the end to 5 at least, or have a reminded for when you visited the thread last time and show all of the new ones.

OK, it’s now 5 recent posts that are displayed (instead of 3). Good idea!

i noticed that luke  its a very good idea, thanks karl and luke <3

helps alot with my threads as they seem to get pretty big.
