Bachido Kimono, hoari, Happi coats

Hello Bachido members!

I am just putting it out there that there will be starting as of next year, Bachido Kimono with Bachido mon, Happi coats, Hoari etc etc.

I am good friends with a kimono maker who wishes to expand his business starting next year, hoping to target America, UK etc to begin with but is open as to who he sells to. He can design any mon (aslong as a reference picture is provided I am guessing) into the kimono.

Let me know what you guys think, as I am not sure how much they will be just yet. His kimono do really look amazing though.

One of his goals is to promote Kimono wearing in other cultures and possibly bring it back into an everyday fashion for more people. Also to make it more available to the world market.

Please leave a comment on what you think, what colours you might like and what type of design you may like on a kimono?

Cool…I have a black one. But from what I’ve read traditional Japanese clothing wasn’t jet black. Maybe charcoal, or navy blue.

Otherwise I’m crazy about lavender, the more red version as opposed blue like lilac. Or a pastel purple. But yeah more red then blue tint.

That’d be cool! I’d spend some coin on something as simple as a Bachido Happi to put a twist on the whole “club t-shirt” thing.

Does Bachido have an official color scheme?

I dont think bachido does Joseph  I think its mainly just black and white in the logo… but I’m sure there is no strict colour scheme ^^

A black and white logo would look really good on charcoal.

Exciting news! Keep me posted on this Cana! I’d like to see some samples of his work first.

Kimono are awesome! I collect them, and would definitely be interested

I have a . . . cape . . . or so . . . a gift from my not among us anymore aunt who used to travel asia a lot with her died in a plane crash husband yeah not so good times a couple of years ago . . . since I already like that I guess rather generic dragon design clothing I would of course be TOTALLY into an officially licensed BACHIDO kimono or happy coat

of course I need to pay the usual expenses and season pass for the spa first (okay the season pass would just be for the swimming pool (discounted daily optional additional pay for the spa section) and that IN CASE the MR to be done on tuesday on my knee after a taxi driving mishap hopefully says “good to go” yeah good times I HOPE after even having been in the rescue swimmer force for some years that I shall be able to follow my plan of getting in shape again via getting into the WATER again in the foreseeale future . . .

anyway so much for my surely appreciated by regular forum visitors whiskey enhanced relaxed mood and this time also relaxed leg position friday night post

That would be amazing, I would definitely get a Mon or Hoari with the bachido logo on it. That would be sick dude! I could try to promote kimono wearing here in North Carolina as much as I can for your friend mainly because all of my friends know that I love Japan and I showed them how great the culture is and they are all interested as well. I would love to help you promote his business.

A kimono would be awesome especially with the bachido logo on it, if this happens will there be model for both men and women ?
For me a black and white kimono would be amazing. The japanese culture is really awesome and that’s why I would love to help too

Yikes! Sorry to hear about your aunt, BH. It looks like she had great taste in fashion. Id love a jacket like that!

Hahaha!!! Oh man, gotta love BH on a Friday night!! ;-D

Any updates, Cana? I can’t wait to see some samples! Now that the swag is finally made, (http://bachido.com/products/swag) it’s time to start on a new fashion project! (Ah, still gotta shirt-ize Ale’s great design from last year’s challenge)

Alan: Oooh, a bachido kimono would be really wild. From what I know, female kimono are much more elaborate and can take over an hour to put on (whereas male kimono can be thrown on in 10 minutes or less).

I’m thinking it might be good to start with a male kimono design first, since it’s simpler. Once we get a finalized outfit made, we can get ideas for a female kimono. I’m friends with the head of immortalgeisha.com. She has great sensibilities for designing kimono, and I’m sure would be happy to help design a neo-classical kimono!

Our kimono maker says he will need some time to set everything up, and it could take anything up to a month or so for the examples to be made for us. I have asked in reply to this if he could get us some pictures of previous kimono he has made.

I will update you guys with his reply to that soon hopefully!

I absolutely love kimonos and I collect them as well. So I would love to see an bachido kimono made!! I can’t wait for the samples!!! Thank you for this opportunity Cana.
