BachiTV: Episode #0

Well folks, after getting all jazzed from the great ideas exploding from this particular thread, I quickly filmed a pilot video for BachiTV!

Though not incredibly shamisen packed, it is just something to get the ball rolling. In this thread, you can see more ideas of what will happen in future episodes.

Great to get started, and part of my history class was to look in really old newspapers which is always fun

But man I was literally overwhelmed by the shamisen content, you need to tone it down a bit

I agree, that many shamisen and related pieces in one room ah that could be considered showing off and is hard to watch for someone without one . . . even a little one on the desk which should be in the store too I guess . . .

anyway good and QUICK start of this so that’s splendid I am looking forward to watching whatever future episodes for sure . . .

yep nothing to add  waiting for the next episodes

Very interesting Kyle, thank you. (Sorry I haven’t been on in awhile, so I’m a little behind!) Are you planning on using that wood with the newspaper article attached? Might be some good s**t yo. If it’s not all rotten, that is.

Hey Johnny!

The wood is 150+ year old virgin redwood. Good stuff, but we’re gonna frame that sucker.

It’s better than burning it, which is what we’ve been doing. (0:46)

LMAO yea man, just… yea. I knew that was some nice West Coast wood when I seen it! Couldn’t you have snagged like 4 or 5 of them bad boys when pops wasn’t looking and make a koto or guzheng? ( Just kidding…) A nice little anecdote on American History, so thank you. It’s almost impossible to find a good piece of old maple or any other old growth in the East, (guess it is anywhere). Nice to see someone else still using a chalkline also! LOL
Thanks Abbott Family

P.S.
Dude, were you guys really on Wife Swap?

Hahahaha!!! The great thing about virgin redwood is not only knot-free, but termites don’t like it. So while we save the larger pieces (2x4+ studs) for other projects, there’s not much use for the smaller pieces. (Full of nails anyway)

Haha! What’s the alternative to the chalkline?

Cheers for watching!

Oh yeah. It was like 7 years ago. A super-fun experience, but the gross amount of editing and story manipulation made the actual show not as much fun to watch.

Good stuff. They’ve got fancy-schmancy lasers that make lines now, but they cost an arm and a leg. Really, not as good as a good old-fashioned chalkline. Funny video, thanks!
