I’ve moved to Helsinki Finland recently. Someone it’s inviting me to play to the streets, but here it’s so cold (-2 approx.). I wonder what reaction will have the shamisen skin with that cold. Someone knows about?

That’s a good question. I think your hands would have more trouble playing in the cold than the shamisen skin. 
(at least, mine would be)
I think humidity is the main issue. If it’s not snowing nor very humid, the cold temperature itself shouldn’t be a problem.
