I am not sure how everyone else feels, but I think Kyle is doing a bad@$$ job with BACHIDO. I would like to see a “donations” page where people can send a couple of dollars here and there to Kyle in support of the website, the videos, etc. I know I can’t send a whole lot at one time…but I can sure send a little every other month or so.
WHAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK? I have definitely benefited from the instructional videos, the connections/friendships I made and the online store!
I am not Very very rich, but happy to donate as much as I can. Just because bachido is so good and always makes me happy.
But, what if Kyle is a billionaire???
I feel a bit awkward having donations, as the support and commitment you all give to the forum is donation enough for me. But perhaps when Luke gets back, he could make a little “tip jar” in the corner of the screen, for those who feel like it.
Either way, I already feel so motivated by the support I feel from everyone already, something money can’t buy.
Hahaha!! If I was a billionare, you can believe that I would’ve gotten a Synesso over an Alex II. (The Alex is fantastic, but the Synesso is a real dream machine - http://www.synesso.com/ )
This is Kyle’s way of subliminally confessing to all of us that any extra money he gets from this site will be going into his coffee making addiction ! …which none of us would blame him for I’m sure. The man deserves the best damn coffee in the world ! Can anyone deny this?..didn’t think so!笑!
I think is a very good idea, anyone here are too much grateful to Kyle for creating a site like this. And it is good for us that this extra money will be going to coffee because more coffee = more Kyle´s accelerated work in bachido!
One thing I really appreciate about the community is the generosity members have with their time and creativity/talents, and I’d just hope that doesn’t leave if money got into the equation.
Hahaha! Fortunately, all the espresso gear has been already paid for with the now-retired Espresso Fund (made from gig money). The only cost now is green beans, and the cost of that is peanuts (so to speak) I’d like to think any money made should go into future Bachido developments.
Ah! But you know, when Kevin said, " The man deserves the best damn coffee in the world ! ", I suddenly had a thought. –
At the first Bachido festival, would anyone be adverse if we arranged a time to all have a cup of Civet coffee? I never had it yet, and frankly, it’d be a legitimate expense for the festival, methinks!
Cana: OOOOoooohhhh!!! I bet it’d make some crappy coffee, but that thing would be soooo awesome to have! I’d install it in front of the house if it wouldn’t fit inside! How much is it, btw?
Okay guys, maybe when Luke gets back, he’ll add a little 50x50 pixel jar in the corner of the screen. Hopefully it can be saved up for some big shamitastic shamazing shamisen thing!
A tip jar would be cool, i for one would be TOTALLY lost without the information in english, it was the ONLY reason i had for selling the shamisen i bought years ago was that there was NOTHING in english to help.
Ah! Actually, it’s coming time to start making new crash courses, so I’m looking into another HD camera to use exclusively for the POV angle. (It’ll be attached to the wall or a boom stand) - the Canon VIXIA HF M500
It looks like a great camera, but I could use a little help with the funding. For this, I might start a Kickstarter campaign, complete with fun rewards for donations. At last, there’s a legitimate reason!
new crash courses will be amazing
ive been learning on these for awhile ^.^
6 hrs a day trying to strive for the perfect note out of each note
wish i could donate but i have my anneversary to save for… itll be £345 for flight
hotel
then on top of that i hafta find a silversmithing course i can pay for till i get a job.
(and wanting to find a minyou shamisen teacher who could teach me over skype…)
