I stumbled upon this group the other day but wasn’t sure how ‘open’ it was to everyday bachido members
(whether it was for a competition, practice group, or no longer used, etc.)

If this group is defunct id like to suggest someone make a bachido group that all of us can join, in addition to just the fan page. Anyone else?

ah but thats the ‘fan page’. we can also have a group, where members can post pictures/videos for everyone to see, as well as post files that most members would want to access (sheet music, flyers, etc)
the link i posted is a group, but its for Team Bachido, so i was not sure if that was a competitive team as opposed to the entire bachido community
would also make voting (on shirt designs, for example) easier with the polling feature
Ah right. I’m not much of a facebooker myself, but that sounds like it would be a very good media to share stuff without the need of creating a forum topic about it.

We need a better way of sharing stuff that happens though. Threads are easily lost because there is a lot of discussion with other stuff.
I think ill go ahead and take the liberty of making one. if it starts to take off, ill hand the reins over to kyle and the other admins.

Oh snap! I never realized the Bachido ‘page’ was a fan page!
Though I worry about changing, thus losing all the current ‘likes’, I can see the merit in changing. After all, it always annoys me that people’s messages/attachments get pushed to the corner and not up front. So as for Bachido’s Facebook presence, this is a good idea I think. We’ll keep both the fan page and the group up and eventually phase out the fan page.
Or maybe keep both!

i say keep the fan page too! its a good method for having two outlets for fans: those who just support us/like our music, vs those of us who want to contribute and form a community
another organization im a part of uses the same system of fan+group and i think its a good method. might as well use both!

Of course! I’ll have to do that tomorrow though. Today is the special day for advertising a little something stellar!
I had seen the Team Page, but didn’t want to post on it, as I wasn’t a member of the team. Thanks for making the group! Groups are much more interactive than a fan page!
