Greetings from Austria :)

Hello there!

I am new in this community and just wanted to say hello :).
I finally got my shamisen in September in Tokyo for my 27th birthday! Before that I was only singing and I hope to accompany myself in the future with the shamisen (far future XD).
When I am not singing or practicing shamisen I work as a flight attendant, so I travel to Japan a lot, maybe I can join some event with Bachido members someday.
You can find me on Youtube as well, my channel is pretty nerdy but I am always happy about comments  I plan to upload videos with shamisen too, but I have to practice more until then :D.

See you around

Welcome to the club.

P.S. Always wanted to say that.

Welcome to Bachido Sarah!

Welcome, Wilkommen

Confound you guys! You beat me to the first welcome. :frowning:

Anyhow, Welcome, welcome Sarah!

Congratulations on getting your first shamisen! Indeed, if you travel to Japan frequently, you should be able to attend the 2014 Bachido Festival in Hokkaido!

By the way, being that you are in Austria, there’s a small chance you may have taken a cab ride with another Bachido member, Bernhard (known as BH on the forum)! I’m sure he’ll pop up here and relay his greetings very soon.

Thanks for your channel link! I look forward to your involvement in Bachido!

Thank you and welcome!!!

Welcome to Bachido!

Thanks for the nice welcome! I had some cab rides in my life, so maybe XD Didn’t expect someone else from Austria!

and finally I guess I am to check out some of those anime clips I never got into that so far but will surely check out your channel

so free complimentary cab ride then should you want one in Graz sometime (unless vacation time which is upcoming thank god

going on a burgenland / salzburg round trip and grew up in Lungau where the snow is . . .

awesome that you have a shamisen and welcome to the forum . . .

I have been to vienna a couple of times to and from but it would be illegal to pick up unknown customers there so probably we have not seen each other at least definitely not on a cab ride there . . .

Sarah, your singing is amazing. You have a beautiful voice!

What style of shamisen are you playing?

@BH My grandfather lives in Graz, so maybe I could need a cab ride sometime
Salzburg is great, have fun on your trip, I love going there always

@Michael Thanks! I have a Tsugaru Shamisen, I think it was made in Hokkaido. And it is pretty heavy! XD
