??? Never seen these before, I know of the mugen and such but these lovely black ones??

Very strange to see the change from traditional shamisen to electric all the sudden hopefully it doesn’t change the nature of the music itself too much.

Okay wow that looks like something  I need to get a cheap airgun first though …

Not sure if anyone has thrown these out there yet… but feast upon the “color” shamisen

oh I remember these, Josh. I also found a guy with a very… umm interesting shamisen… it was a normal shamisen covered in sequins like michael jacksons glove… it was kinda horrific… I cant seem to find the video though.

Some experiments should never have taken place.

Daaamn that’s gorgeous!

I was looking at that Takaramon ebay shop a few months ago because one of my classmates had an interest in a Sanshin, but I should’ve shown him that!

I’m already saving up for an electric huqin for gigs, but I’m keeping an eye on this for when I get better at playing.
Good find Cana!

I wana say there’s some Tsugaru style electrics like that. They have Synthetic Skin, acrylic bachi, made of plastic. Maybe Kevin Kmetz could shine some light on the subject?

There is the Mugen which is tsugaru.

Yeah I have a Mugen but I’m pretty sure there’s an all plastic fully electric tsugaru out there

You are probably thinking about beni-ya’s yuugen.

That’s the one!

I wonder what it would sound like with some distortion!

A little belated, but here is an example of 2013 Team Bachido playing collaboratively on a Beniya (complete with reverb, looping, wah, and distortion).

Oh man… I don’t remember the sounds and tones being that subtle last year. Trippy stuff!
