Hanawa Chie cellphone commercial

A friend sent me this today - it came out about a month ago:

And it turns out that “making of” videos are a thing for commercials too:

Awesome!

Wow this is so cool!

One Bachido member on each rooftop, playing in sync. Something to aim for.

Oh my,

I would buy anything that Hanawa Chie endorses. Even purses.

What about Hanawa Chie Coffee?

AV bro, AV.

This phone must be pretty awesome, it pushes Chie Hanawa to play on a roof top, and a guy dancing on stairs playing with his own life ! I wan’t this phone … i don’t care about it but Chie Hanawa put her life in danger for it, i need one ! ultimate fan mode on

Looks more like she is trying to make the guy commit suicide. But still he tries to resist.
Oh well you insidious Hanawa Chie!

Can’t say anything about the phone though.

Cool commercial! さすがSONYですね。

well  I have been a fan of ericsson then sony ericsson and now I finally also ventured into smartphone land and what seems to have become simply “sony” and bought an xperia dual sim 3 days ago . . . day 1 : nothing happens when turning it on → return to store and replace phone . . . day 2 : touchscreen can’t distinguish sliding finger motion from hitting a button with finger motion → return to store and replace . . . day 3 : woot (that is today) seems to work fine so far

so in case it turns out as promisingly as it looks this is gonna be one cool phone dual sim is just awesome for me as it is gonna allow me to degrade the earlier number to mere taxi customer babble and having the new number for serious conversations . . . so yeah I guess I hope I can stay a fan of that beloved line of phones I would hate to even consider others especially those nokias I hate them seriously but well I guess it is a matter of taste or whatever

I had a Sony Ericsson once. One month later I was canoeing and it went into the water. Never had one since.

okay that might be a valid criticism cause granted I had a nokia worst case scenario fall back on only for emergency use second hand alternative phone once that fell into a cup of coffee while on active taxi duty and after drying up it still worked while you seem to imply that the sony ericsson did not after canoeing on the other hand I did spill a glass of sparkling wine onto a sony vajo laptop once and it DID boot up (most of the time) for another 3 months after drying up so I guess it is also a matter of good or bad luck after all

BH, if you’re gonna be dropping serious cash for a smartphone, you may also want to consider investing in a sippy cup. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

“sippy cup”? ah I see (wikipedia I love it

very funny but the good thing is that as a smartphone it at least looks a bit too wide for the common vending machine coffee cup (day off today shall find out tomorrow)

Funny that you mentioned that. My girlfriend’s phone was a Nokia and she was in the same canoe. We were in the water for like 3-4 minutes until we got to the shore with the canoe. We left our phones to dry on the shore and when we got back home she got it working. Finland is the land of the thousand lakes, it is only logical that they would handle this type of accident.

haha I guess so and whatever I hope I will not need to find out whether the current sony one would survive the water too . . .

Wow just found this thread
So I hate to be the thorn in the bush, but am I the only one who feels that this commercial was very sell-out-ish??

Her playing lacked read tsugaru depth, and was ripe with little more that hard-hitting, heavy-strumming filler.
It was as if the producers didn’t know crap about shamisen, couldn’t appreciate her original style, and just told her “slam on the strings and make it really loud and busy, because that sounds cool to the average joe in front if a tv”

Shut. up. Norm! Her shamisen playing sounds very good looking!
:stuck_out_tongue:

Lmao
Thank you for proving my point haha
