Hi I have a Hibiki skin shamisen so do I still need a bachigawa and if yes can I use clear tape?

You don’t need a bachigawa, unless you do percussive techniques (Tataki for example) without skill or with too much strength or frequency.
If you want to use a bachigawa, I recommend a piece of 3M 315 heavy packing tape.
Are there any posts about the correct technique for this?
I have some wear under the third string and I’m assuming it’s due to frequency since I’ve been practicing Akita Nikita bushi a lot for a while now, but I want to make sure I’m not doing something I shouldn’t
