Hopefully, Kevin and I never share a stage (Re: World Scales Course)

… unless it’s a show like “Funny Money”, or “Noises Off” or some other wacky comedy, because I can tell from the blooper reels that he CANNOT keep a straight face, and then the two of us would look like the Carol Burnett Show. (YouTube it if’n you young’uns don’t know what I’m talking about.)

Guys, I am having a GREAT time with the World Scales Course! Not only do the blooper reels make me laugh and lighten an otherwise mentally absorbing course up, but I am learning SO much! I wish I had learned about scales before. I never knew how to “jam”, but now that I know some scales, I can actually jam a little bit.

sigh - How come you weren’t born yet when I was in music school, Kyle?? Sooo not fair. Kumidaiko hadn’t been invented yet, either. Grrrr.

GET THESE TWO PEOPLE ON STAGE RIGHT NOW!!!

Yay!!! That’s great Lorraine!! I’m not sure if I mentioned it on the course, but though Ringo Bushi was the very first course we released, the World Scales course was the very first that we ever filmed! (That’s why the sound got a little noisy, still working out microphone issues) Though Kevin was a little embarrassed about his jovial outbursts, I knew it was a blessing in disguise. With so much brain-intense material there, a little hilarity was essential to shake things up and give the brain a chance to relax.

Anyhow, I’m really glad to hear this!! Any chance I could use your terrific post as a testimonial?

In the chance that Kevin comes back next year, we’ll definitely make another course like this! And at some point, I hope to get Mike Penny in the studio, who would provide much insight, and no doubt hilarity.

(Hey, I know the Carol Burnett show! … not that I’ve watched it, but I have heard of it)

How come I wasn’t born yet?, story of my life.

Anything I write about Bachido, you can certainly use as a testimonial! (Although I’ve probably already said it to anyone who hangs around me and will listen, lol.)

No, don’t change a thing about the World Scales course. It’s really great, and I think I said it already, but any musician who plays any type of a stringed instrument will benefit from it.

The following is the reason Kevin and I would probably never be able to share a stage … Make sure you stick around until the end - if you haven’t fallen out of your chair laughing, that is …

This is me in “Funny Money” (2 years ago). We actually cracked each other up on stage quite a bit. I had to say “Oh My God” a LOT.

Haha! The Funny Money bit was awesome!
By the way, Lorraine that reminds me, I have a gig next weekend!
Care to join me???

Yay! Thank you Lorraine!

That’s it! At some point, a KmetzDonald show must happen! Adding that to the list of Bachido projects.

And now for something completely different.

And:

Oh, Kevin, what wouldn’t I give to join you in Japan by NEXT weekend! Except, I don’t even have a passport, though. It would be a TOTALLY funny show, mainly because my shamisen playing is so bad.

Actually, an Abbott, Kmetz, MacDonald show would be awesome! I’m not too far from you, Kyle, so I hope I can hang with you next time I’m up near you, or plan a special trip (six hour drive for me).

Karl - re: first video - I WANT ONE!!

re: Second video - A) I don’t even want to think about all the germs that were on that treadmill - ewwwwwww!! 2) some people have waaay too much time on their hands!
