How to live somewhere cold?

Its really cold here in england, compared to what i was used too in california for 17 years of my life…
How do i cope with the cold for now? (keeping in mind i have no radiator or heater right now) I have loads of jackets and stuff i wear constantly… but how else can i increase my body temperature?

Things also that might be making me cold is,
General weather…
bad circulation ? maybe
Hashimotos Hypothyroidism…

dunno what else

I have a hotwaterbottle on my stomache at the moment and i'm still cold ^^;;
its not sounding too well for me health wise at the moment haha

You need a radiator. If you live in a classical crappy English house your windows probably only have 1 glass panel, compared to 2 or 3 with gas in between. With only 1 glass panel the cold will go straight in.

Drink a lot of hot liquids: tea, soup, coffee. It will warm you up from the inside.

True i do karl haha, wouldnt call it crappy save for the carpet and the holes in the nextbedroom wall, i have a boiler that is supposed to be actually 4x the size needed for this house, (due to landlord likeing his high specs really…) only problem is is since hes redecorating still … he took off the radiators to paint behind them and such and hasnt put them back yet.

Will doo michael :slight_smile:

yeah you need some heating / radiator or something to enjoy hot drinks on top of that :slight_smile: I have an old big almost all windows door to the patio and the house’s heating thing is on the other side so I also need an extra heating thingy at the patio door just beware of the cheapest electric ones they could cost you up to a few hundreds of euros a winter as for the electric bill I am sure especially in case it would be the only heating you have . . . as for me I was lucky enough to get a great quality and sort of fancy “infrared” electric one for free and I paid about 100 euros a winter having it run throughout the nights I may save on that this year by getting a timer plug or something as it’s otherwise either on full throttle or off so yeah oh as for drinks I am a fan of black tea with citron always reminds me of snowboarding sessions back home at Lungau one of the coldest regions in austria you know how we live there? good heating I am afraid there is no way around that :slight_smile:

Try some of the ideas on this list http://m.wikihow.com/Stay-Warm-at-Home-Without-a-Heater

Boy, you should learn kawahari. Pulling a thick skin down to the dou really gets the sweat pouring.

Play more shamisen…
One of the reasons that tsugaru shamisen is played so heavily is because of how cold the area of Tsugaru Japan is.
The playing style is intended to warm you up, and can bring me to sweat even on the coldest of days!
