I would like to ask for information on how to convert Western sheet music into 文化譜。

I’m trying to transcribe my favorite pieces into 文化譜, but I would appreciate some advice on how to use more than sannoito for transcriptions and how to choose a technique.
I’m also interested in how the notes of the shamisen’s numerical positions change with different tunings.

The chart and explanation here should help explain the relationships:

You have standard honchoushi (本調子), then niagari (二上り) which raises the second string, and sansagari (三下り), which lowers the third string.

The positions on the neck are a half-step apart.

Aim to minimize hand movements. If a note doesn’t sound great pitch-wise or it’s extremely difficult to play, you should probably move it to another string.

thank you for the explanation
