So me and my girlfriend were talking about instruments now that I’ve taken up the Shamisen, and she’s looking to take up the Erhu, a chinese fiddle-like instrument. We thought about doing a duet but I momentarily shrugged it off because I thought the two wouldn’t go together… God was I wrong.

Ha when I heard the erhu intro I already thought this would be perfect for a shamisen to kick in too . . . still in general I am also unfamiliar with the many options for combinations that could sound nice and that I haven’t heard before . . . cool that there are so many options . . .
I’ve seen a lot of nice international combinations. 
Such as Shamisen + Banjo which was very interesting to say the least.
