Kanji or symbol on bachi base?

hi everyone! hope everyone is having a good day !

i have a bekkou bachi, but i noticed theres a bit of a marking on the bottom of it. would it be okay to ask if anyone recognises what it says or what it could be? it is so faint i tried to enhance it the best i could. thank you all in advance and have a wonderful day!!

It’s too faint for me to read, but it could easily be the past owner’s name, that’s quite common to find.

Not sure but it may be 洋 which may also mean foreign, occident.
