Koto and heat

Hey all-
I’m moving back to San Diego for like a month, and in the mean time I’m putting my stuff up here at Berkeley into storage-maybe.
I don’t think I wanna risk storing the shamisen or kokyuu in some temperate box, can the koto take it? It’s a big hunk of wood.
I would just drive it back, but I’m taking a Prius back up, and putting the shamisen and kokyuu in with my luggage and another passenger is already pushing it- I don’t know if the koto could fit.
Any thoughts? Knowledge of the thermal qualities of Japanese instruments?
Thanks,
Anthony

Shouldn’t be a problem, aslong as you take the bridges out. Japanese summers are really hot and humid, so kotos can take it.
