Kyle's Academic Achievement!

For those who don’t know, I’ve been taking volleyball at Cabrillo College for the past year. When people ask if I’m going to college, I jokingly say, “Yes! Studying Beach volleyball! I get a credit or two (which is true), so I figure in about ten years, I’ll be getting a degree in…something.”

Well, look what I just got in the mail! It appears that because of my academic leadership achievement and leadership potential from taking two semesters of volleyball, I’ve been selected to be a member of the honorable National Society of Leadership and Success!

All from only two semesters of volleyball on the beach! :stuck_out_tongue: (and I even missed quite a few when I went to Japan) Talk about an academic achievement! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I thought it was blogworthy. That is all. Just the fact that I have almost no academic capability in my brain made it all the more hilarious. They obviously didn’t know who they were talking to!

I don’t believe that for ONE second! Not ONE!! And congrats!!

Lorraine: I admit I’m clever and have something of a Holmes-like deduction ability to figure things out. But in terms of academia? Math, Science? Noooo… Let’s just say, when I’ve gone on dates (believe it or not, that has happened), I just have to let the girl figure out half of the bill/tip because my brain just craps out.

Fortunately, the shamisen is a very emotion/feeling-based instrument, so I can manage that.

Oh i always thought you are a smart one :DD I’m also seriousyl crappy when it comes to mathematics and physics and stuff.
But that’s why i’m a cook and a bartender. Going to get waiters papers too next year.

congratulations now of course I hope that one or the other future bachido blogcast will not only be spiced up by coffee references but also feature motivational “leadership and success” speaker like stuff

HAHAHA!!! Oh man, I wish I kept that paper!! That would’ve been hilarious skits to make!
Oh well, next time. No doubt I’ll be getting another offer in the mail sometime.

Ortjo: Well that makes two of us! Personally, I would be much more attracted to being a bartender (or a barista, as the case may be  ) than in the academic field. Hey, somebody gotta make them drinks!

Hmmm…

If you go the bartender route, you should have your own bar. Call it “The Broken Bachi”. I’ll be a regular and I can tell you my problems over a bottle of sake while someone plays Tosa no Sunoyama in the corner…

But, I think I’d have to shuffle in looking disheveled and wearing an old crumple kimono, have six days of beard stubble and be leaned over the bar, scratching myself, nodding to no one in particular, grumbling in a low slow tone “sooooo desu neeeee…”

I would fit in although I shall shave this evening
