Hi everyone! I’ll be visiting Kyoto in October and I’m looking for a private teacher to learn the basics, ideally in Tsugaru style.
I’m a complete beginner and don’t speak enough Japanese to follow a lesson in it, so I’d need a teacher who’s comfortable teaching in English.
Would love a series of daily lessons rather than just a single intro session, so I can actually build some real foundation. Also hoping to buy a beginner shamisen while I’m there so happy to hear shop recommendations too.
Any leads, a teacher, a dojo, even a name to email will be much appreciated. Thanks!
