Masayo Ishigure and Miyabi Koto Shamisen Ensemble will be performing in St. Louis at the Missouri Botanical Garden Japanese Festival this Labor Day weekend. If you’ve never been, the Missouri Botanical Garden is a huge diverse beautiful place to visit with year-round events. The Japanese Festival is by far one of the largest and most popular. There’s a local string group that plays each year, but it’s nice to see them bring in larger groups. My taiko group will also be playing if your also into big ass drums.
