If I were to make a new thread for each question I come up with, this forum would probably be flooded. So I thought that we could have a thread where you can ask minor questions and have everyone read the thread and answer questions. I’m sure that it will be interesting to read for everyone as you might learn something new from other players’ questions.
My first question: It’s kind of hard for me as a new player to know how a proper snap sounds as I haven’t seen any shamisen IRL before getting my own. Is it possible to describe it in some way?
My reaction is that my snaps are way too low if the buzzing sound of the thick string sounds more than the snap.
