My first Tsugaru Shamisen? =/

Well I just got my new Tsugaru Shamisen and I sold my Nagauta Shamisen.

I found out that this Tsugaru Shamisen needs a new koma and some extra strings.

It sucks that this Tsugaru Shamisen can’t dissemble in three pieces (the Sao is one pieces) my Naugauta Shamisen’s Sao was able to take it apart in three pieces)

I found out that my Tsugaru Shamisen is a level 1 Tsugaru Shamisen - it was purchased from Japan from the previous buyer.

I just hope I can still get a good playing performance from this Level 1 Tsugaru Shamisen (now I have to sell my traveling Hard Case)

Hey, congratulations on the new instrument. You said it needs a new koma. Does that mean it has one that isn’t very good, or it doesn’t have one at all? I feel for you if you can’t play it at all. But the good news is that with the right koma even a level 1 could sound alright if the dou is well constructed…I think.
