Hello.

Since you just made one i’d like to get sheets for Namonaki oka - Yoshida Brothers
And any song from Eien no Uta- Eternal Songs by Hiromitsu Agatsuma
Nada SouSou, great song! I’ve got the kunkunshi-sheets for the Okinawa-sanshin, but I wonder, if it’s useful when playing Shamisen…
However, to give it a try, a google search for 涙そうそう 工工四 will bring you to:
http://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/hikitaizou/5000
and there you’ll find this:

Maybe it helps you… :o)
Thanks for the links, Andreas.
Hali, as for making a score, you can read from easily, hopefully the following will help.
I don’t know how this will show up on the site (there may be formatting problems that turn it into nonsense), but a while ago I made a chart to translate sanshin tunes into standard folk song shamisen tablature.
The first three lines are the characters for kunkunshi (the top line is the 3rd string, the middle is the 2nd, the bottom is the 1st), and under this I’ve put the number indicating the corresponding location on the shamisen’s neck.
工 五 六 七
四 上 中 尺
合 乙 老 下老
0…2…3#…4
Here as an example of how it works, from the beginning of Asadoya Yunta.
Note that kunkunshi is written vertically, but I am writing it horizontally to make this easier to understand:
中 工 七 合 七 合 七 合 五 工 四 上 中 工
––––-0–––4–––––-4 ––––– 4–––––2–-–0––––––––––––––0–
–3#–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-0–––2–-–3#–––-
–––––––––––-0––––––0––––––0––––––––––––––––––––––––
Here’s a link with a diagram of the neck positions on the sanshin, which may be clearer than what I’ve written above.

And here’s a link with more scores:

Hope this helps.
Thanks for the tips!
I just wasn’t sure exactly what to include for a keyword when it came to shamisen music. Do they just call it sheet music? tabs? notation? etc.
