I’m doing a research paper on shamisen for a course, and I’m looking to see if anyone can recommend any materials(or maybe even is open for an interview)? The paper’s about shamisen construction, to be a little more specific. I’d really appreciate literally any information that anyone could provide, no matter what it might be.

I’d check out Shamisen of Japan by @Kyle_Abbot. It is the best English language book I know of about shamisen construction. You might also give him a shout too as he might know of other sources that would be of use to you.
