Hey folks!
Well, wheels are in motion to have saofuki made with the Bachido mon on it. Nitta san is requesting the final design.
So, simply put, here are some potential designs.
If there are any you prefer, or anything you’d like to change, voice your opinion here!
Note, let’s try to come to a unified decision, if possible.

With your idea in mind, check out some of these.
That is a doosie! Both the upper left and the bottom right look great. I think that the upper right would be perfect if you could make Bachido just a slightly smaller text.
In my opinion, you look at the emblem, and you think oh, cool! And then you notice the text next to it, rather than all of it at once like in the others. For some reason I prefer this.

In the 1st post (set of 3 designs), I was liking the one with the angled-corner orientation.
Or, how about editing the 1st design and pushing the “Bachido” text opposite side and perhaps increasing the size of the mon to fit the right half more?

what exactly is saofuki?
^ If I’m not mistaken, it is a cloth used to wipe down your shamisen.
Jesse: Yes, as TJ said, it is the cloth to wipe the shamisen. 
So, Nitta san just informed me that the cloth is square, not rectangular. Yoops! 
I’m gonna make the adjustments, and try out y’alls (Josh and TJ’s) ideas.

Personally I think the mon would look cool as a random asymmetrical pattern like something you’d see on traditional Japanese clothing, but I am kinda old fashioned :-p
Hmm… Of the square ones I’d say the bottom right is the most visually appealing to me.

I like the bottom left.
I prefer cleaning cloths where you can see if your instrument is dirty, meaning more of the background color.
I’d say you take the bottom left and scale both the text and mon down to about 2/3 of the original size, but keep them near the border. You should also try that with the mon rotated 45 degrees like in the bottom right. I think it looks more legit with everything being in the corners and not being in the center of the cloth.

Although I was joking when I said ‘do them all’ - seriously… what if more than one were possible? how about one with minimal smaller text and mon, for practicality. and another with the Bachido name and mon larger and more visible, let’s say for displaying by draping over your shamisen case while you’re playing on street corners in public

I agree with Jesse that if its important to you to have the logo as visible as it can be for publicity, there could be two versions. If its just for cleaning your instrument while still being awesome, I’d say a small logo.
Both of you raise great points. In the near-future, we could definitely have two different saofuki, one with a large mon and the other smaller. I think we could only start with one version because this is our “first printing”, but let’s keep it in mind to have two!
Karl: Yeah, I do find the smaller logo to be classy. It’s a good combination with the Bachido shirt, as that has a very sizable mon on the back.
