Hello! My name is Max, I’m your average American college student (nerd) that loves Japanese culture and music. I’ve recently discovered the shamisen and have fallen in love with it, and have just discovered this community! I’m excited to start learning here and make new friends. I have not obtained my shamisen yet, but I should in a few weeks. I chose to start with the Jiuta shamisen (chuuzao) aka. medium neck. I’m interested in learning the Tsugaru style and Minyo style as well. (I hope this is a good combination.) Nice to meet you all!
