In Kyle’s Book, it represents Nuki using four 0’s- despite this am I suppose to use the 4300 pattern the book describes nuki as being? I’m a little confused.
Ah, actually ‘nuki’ and the 4300 pattern are different. ‘nuki’ is where you hajiki ‘4’ and ‘3’ almost instantaneously, whereas in the ‘4300 phrase’ (as I call it), you strike the 4, hajiki the 3, sukui the 0 and then hajiki the 0 again. With nuki, it’s notated out as ‘00’ because the instantaneous double-hajiki ends on ‘0’ anyway.
Ah, you have the Advanced Kamashi course, right? The normal 4300 pattern is the first one you learn. ‘Nuki’ is the 3rd Kamashi form in the course.
Ah yes, sorry, I was just confused as to why nuki is 0 0 0 0, rather than 4 3 0 0.
Thank you!
