Oh sweet! That looks like a lot of fun!

Did Cana bring his three flavored strings?

3 flavored strings :stuck_out_tongue: ? Had an awesome time there! got my sanshin repaired for free too! a sanshin repairer happend to be one of the organisers. I was told he had “magic pockets” so I went up to him and asked him about the little woodblock thing on my sanshin and why it was there and then he ran off… and came back with a new karakui, uma, strings, and a bachi for me and repaired mysanshin to working order! it was a complete surpise  loved it! then he told me I should come down and meet up with them more. We havent figured out what this thing is though, its only found on instruments from a long time ago~

this was taken in 1897, if you notice all the way on the left, the Sanxian player has one on his sao.

Thanks, Jamie, for the post. I did not know there was such Okinawa day in London. It’s a lot of fun.
And I have got interested in Okinawa music and practicing it by Shamisen.
I am also thinking of getting a sanxien.

Btw, Kyle, is the Kankara kit onBachido store like Okinawa sanxien? And good to play Okinawa music?
