Hey y’all, I’ve been playing around with some DAWs and my shamisen (read; logic and protools,) and I got to thinking…

There must be some people out there who also have recording abilities, and all kinds of music skills!

So here is my proposition; let’s work together over the net! Lets make some songs by trading ideas, and put them up as public music, no copyright, no money, just free, fun music to promote the growth of Shamisen, and of course, Bachido. Anyone interested?

I like a lot your proposal! But I didn´t have any of the apptitudes for that. Anyway I will help with anything I can

The quality from different mics will certainly be interesting, but I am totally down for it!! I’ve been missing recording recently since after finishing the MoS CDs.

Anycase, count me in! If we come up with something we’re all proud of, I vote that we all kick in a few bucks to have it professionally mixed at Gadgetbox (where the MoS tracks were mixed). It would be worth it.

I’m also in for it. I’ve found that the mics I have do not capture the sound I’m hearing IRL though, even though they are supposed to be good mics. I guess you need specific mics for specific purposes.

Sounds great ! Great idea Travis!

Has www.kompoz.com been posted here before? Seems like it might be relevant…

Oh, I guess it was me!

I’ve found that I get my ideas when there is already a foundation to work on. The first step should be to get a basic song structure done and then we can add layer upon layer of each player, remove stuff that don’t fit in and end up with a prototype that we can later re-record with the true feeling of a finished song.

was just checking out the Kompoz.com site…yeah…could be fun…
