Hello lovely people!
Lately i had been practicing Tsugaru Jongarabushi (Kyū setsu) somehow i had incremented my tempo “somehow” so i wanted to know if someone know any practice or technique to increment my speed?
Hi! A very efficient way to practice speed is the use of a metronome. It helps to keep the structure of the song complete while you’re able to gradually increase the bpm.
A particular way I practice getting faster is setting a speed that is still playable, but also challenging. Then I will play a few measures repeatedly, alternating between the metronom and then halftime. That’s a good way to learn precision in both fast and slow speeds and helps to build the muscle memory needed!
I like to play along wo the music playing on my speaker. That way I can get that muscle/ear memory when it comes to speed. After I have the music figured out, then I start to play it the way I want to. As long as you have a very solid base, you can do whatever you want. (IMHO)
Cheers!!
