Did anybody had experience using goat skin heads from banjo or pre-stretched skins from banjo or drum heads for shamisen re-skinning?
From my understanding it would require less pre-stretching compared to the normal skin.
Also, did anybody tried Remo Fiberskyn for this purpose?

Also, what kind of glue used for Fiberskyn?
Wish this had an answer, but I plan on giving it a shot since no one seems to know. I’m working on my first shamisen now and I’ll let you know if it goes well. *fingers crossed
I have got some info from Kyle in another thread: looks like he uses super glue with relatively long cure time. I haven’t tried this approach yet as I have not built the pre-stretch jig yet.
