So I was waiting for the tram after watching Prometheus at the cinema. Then I saw this statue which has been there for a long time but I’ve never given it much thought. I was shocked!
Haha! Giant bachi attack!
How was Prometheus? Was it any good or just another cliche sci fi?
Giant bachi is so funny. I guess someone could use that to play the Giant Shamisen in Hiranai, Japan. haha!
Haha yup, that huge shamisen looks really fun
I’m not an Alien fanatic and I saw those movies way back, so I can’t really connect the dots that much (It is a prequel to the Alien movies for those who don’t know). It’s very Alien-like except that it is more like the first movie with more dialog and not just constant action. That is a good thing. The visual effects were really cool, so full marks for that. I had just wished for more believable characters, character development and more answers. Perhaps some of the answers can be found out if you know more about the Alien world. I usually like giving movies a numeric score, so I’d say I had hoped on an 8/10 but due to the things I mentioned it’ll have to be a 7/10.
To answer your question about sci fi cliché, I’d say it was worth the money and time, but I don’t think it evolved the genre
I really hope I didn’t step on anyone’s spoiler toes. I am pretty sensitive about spoilers myself, and imo I didn’t spoil anything.
Hahaha!! What is that statue supposed to represent anyway??
I imagine the God of Shamisen almost like a transformer: Descending from the heavens (or rises from hell, take your pick ) to Sweden, grabbing the giant bachi that has been made and placed there for centuries, awaiting his return to Earth to save us from a horrifying storm of decaf coffee.
Anyone seen Battleship?
lol Kyle :DD
And yeah i watched Prometheus also, but yesterday… I’ve seen all the alien movies and love the world… But the movie had many unlogical things… too much stuff…
It started with many questions and ended up with 10x more questions… mostly about these odd scenes that had no explanation on why it was in the movie at all
But yeah i liked it but i hope they make part 2 or something to explain few things
Let the pilgrimage begin!
Let the pilgrimage begin!
Haha
Let the pilgrimage begin!
Haha
we know what this really is but Karl take the effort of finding out and sharing the “official story” of that statue too please . . . or use the opportunity to talk them into organizing a shamisen or japanese music festival
Let the pilgrimage begin!
Hahaha!! I think I just got that. Thousands of followers of shamisen flocking to the giant bachi every year.
Dude, that would be SUCH an epic place to have a shamisen festival. Ooh! I’m gonna send the pic to Masahiro right now. I’m sure he’ll get a kick out of it.
Whoa, got a response!
“爆笑” (translates to “explosion of laughter”)
:DDD hahaaha if i ever visit sweden i am so going to go on a pilgrimage there
