I haven’t been involved in the shamisen world for quite a while and the beginner shamisen page caught my attention. Does anyone have any experience with it? This is a dream come true because the price makes it truly accessible. As for the fibersen, I heard that it has “no bounce.” What does this mean? Is it possible to get a “bounce?” If I wanted to play Tsugaru pieces on a fibersen beginner shamisen, would I still have to be gentle on the skin part?
For the time being, I dont really care about the higher end stuff like kouki/shitan wood, the sawari mechanism, etc. I just want something to enjoy, learn, and play on. Kyle’s review made me want to explore this possibility and I can’t wait! All I have to do now is save up for it so wish me luck
