Is it possible to like make a Nagauta Shamisen to have no sawari when being played?
Yes.
The sawari sound comes from the intermittent interference of the the yama, en, or azuma sawari on the first string and the resonance loop created between it, the koma, and the other strings.
By adding or subtracting enough material from the yamasawari the sawari sound can be neutralized.
