obviously this shamisen was created or at least played in a rice field and additional writings spell out the names and adresses of 2 shops . . . (talking about mine)
after getting stuck with slippy itomakis I switched to snowboarding website project that should go online next week I could imagine then getting into this woodworking stuff again and tackle the itomaki problem so I can start playing
awesome I actually have a slippery itomaki problem at times early hours in the morning too xD might be me though… not pressing them in hard enough. It usually goes when I start to wake up more.
maybe if itomaki were made with a layer of cork around the tips they wouldnt slip at all.
Hey dudes! If your itomaki are slipping a bit, try coating the pegs in a little bit of superglue and let them dry. After drying, stick them in the holes. The extra layer of thickness will help a lot (assuming the pegs aren’t too wiggly). I used to use rosin powder until Nitta san told me that trick. It works well!
hey those are both interesting concepts I will keep in mind or if everything fails I could add a drop of liquid superglue after every tuning maybe haha anyway I am currently distracted by a sound that starts growling and gets to a high pitched buzz and then fades out again only to come back more and more often so it is not a shamisen or otherwise pleasant sound rather it must be the ventilator / fan of my netbook sounds like a spinning centrifuge or something f*** . . . and just when I need to finish and then operate my snowboarding website which unlike checking bachido I can’t do alternatively from the phone . . . gah

Interesting I think its just my shamisen overpowering me though XD
It also likes to scare me at times by hours after i’m done playing it unwinds one of the itomaki making a very squeeky sound… it always makes me jump. Interesting my shamisen has a double sawari effect to it sprouting from the koma. It’s extremely pleasant and interesting when I play.
