Is Ninjari Ban Ban on the agenda this year?
I’ll assume that’s a rhetorical question.

Oops, sorry I missed your message, Philip!
I wished you could come too! On the positive side, you’ve made connections with us now, and you’re practicing hard. Thus, next year you’ll be able to get even more out of it. It’ll be worth the wait!
I agree, I admit I’m dreading the June heat. I chose that month because not only is it off-season (or so I was told), but also, college-going Bachido members would finally be able to go. (Some of them missed out on two years of Team Bachido tours because of Finals)
If this goes well, let’s start planning earlier and have it over Spring Break!

I’m actually graduating this summer! So spring break or no spring break, I’m definitely in for the next time Bachido does this!
Yusss!!! That’s great news! Hey, just because you won’t have school Spring Break doesn’t mean you won’t be able to join the Wet Shamisen contest!
And hopefully before then, both you and Philip will be able to take part in a little impromptu CA shami jamboree!

If I do make it to that conference. It is technically during my last week of classes but I might be able to pull it off! I would actually leave for the conference on the Friday and spend the weekend in Santa Cruz (Or any other spot of your choice)
Hey! What is that Wet Shamisen Contest?
Are you trying to hide things?
That’s only for if we have ShamiCamp during Spring Break. (Bring Fibersen, that’s all I can say!)
Ok. Hasebe is Booked until the end of the camp and I booked another hostel near Adakusa for the rest or my trip as it will be cheaper. I just couldn’t get a room in Hasebe for the night of the 24th.
I’m wondering if I take a JR Pass or not sine I will arrive and leave from Osaka. I could also take a plane but I’m considering traveling a bit so I’m wondering if it is worth it this time Since it is almost 500$ for 15 days.
I might take JLPT if ready on th 5th But I’m not sure yet.
Here a my options for the rest of the trip:
If you’re interested, tell me as soon a possible. I 'd like to make my schedule not to travel alone most of the time.
I’d recommend JR Pass at least for the way back. The shinkansen alone is quite expensive - the pass I think won’t be that useful in Tokyo when you’re mostly attending the Camp (is it valid for subway? - there’s cheaper options I think).
You can get also area specific passes and all kinds of combo tickets (Japan seems to be full of those). They may be an option.
Just out of curiosity, is there any one planning to wear yukata or other traditional clothes during the trip?
If yes, do you plan to bring your own or to buy one?
Yukata are very seasonal, so around the time of the trip would probably be the best time to buy one.
Personally, I’m going all aloha.
