Shamisen Care vids + Store

Hey folks!

I recently made a few videos regarding skin care… for the shamisen. Check it out here! http://bachido.com/overview/care-and-handling

Also, an update about the store. It is soooooo close to completion! My best judgement is that it will definitely be completed by Christmas. Did I mention that Bachi make perfect stocking stuffers?

Cheers!
Kyle

Gosh darn it Kyle, that’s plain teasing. hehe  I’ll drop you an email soon, I’ve just been a wee bit busy with stuff. Good news regarding the store though!

Matt

Haha got great laughs from the bath-Rokudan. :'D

Yea but i got a real question: How about this Nordic weather? in winter it gets pretty cold and specially in my room where the heaters don’t work… So how will this affect the skin? it sometimes gets around 13-16c in my room so it got me wondering… ( i keep my shamisen allways in the hardcase so propably won’t be that … nasty there :D)

I’m not an expert, but the Tsugaru region of Japan is one of the coldest and snowiest in the country. I figure you shouldn’t have too many problems, but I could be wrong.

As long as temperature is constant, it should be fine. I think the problems happen when the environment/temperature changes frequently. But if it’s stable (whether warm or cold) I doubt there’d be issues.

hmm okay  good good

though this winter it seems that it’s mostly rainy but IF the temperatures start to drop to -20 to -30… i wonder what happens when/if it goes from +1 to - 25…

Well, you shall find out!

Does it get that cold in your house? If your house temperature stays rather stable, it should be fine.

Ortjo, here are some links to what I looked up. I don’t get -20 due to the gulf currents from USA. But as for humidity and temperature Hokkaido, and nearby land, is practically the same as the area that goes a bit north of Stockholm and the south of Finland.

Here’s a climate chart:

And here’s an extract from Hokkaido on Wikipedia:
“The average August temperature ranges from 17 to 22 °C (62.6 to 71.6 °F), while the average January temperature ranges from -12 to -4 °C (10.4 to 24.8 °F), in both cases depending on elevation and distance from the ocean, though temperatures on the western side of the island tend to be a little warmer than on the eastern.”

This is good in one way I guess

Yeah Kyle it really does get that cold sometimes in my room  normally in winter its around +18 to +22*c

And thanks Karl! though i kinda… missed part of it :DDD (feeling a bit retarded) and the link doesn’t seem to work maybe it would clear some things i missed

Ah, there is no preview on the forum so I didn’t know it formated.

It seems the forum can’t handle underscore…
