Hello, everyone,

I am new to the group, and wanted to share our music, particularly to those who wants to learn this type of Shamisen. Any level: beginner, advance, refreshing…

We are one of Fujimoto-ryu (school of Shamisen) groups in San Francisco Bay Area (Calif, USA), focused on Minyo (but not limited). This video recording was our very first experience (both us and the studio), so we regret we all look like having bad stomach ache! But everyone is very friendly, and we have more people than present in this video: from 9 year-old to …god knows how old. :slight_smile:

Please contact me for any question, if you are interested, just want to drop by to see a lesson, etc. I had never owned any instrument when I started, never touched or seen Shamisen! But after a while, I was able to play Hanagasa-ondo. :slight_smile:

I was born in San diego california and moved 2 to 3 years ago
I truly wish I found out about this group sooner… I live in the UK now sadly, But i am a minyou shamisen player aswell.

Thanks for your post Sea Shamisen! I lived close to the bay area in Santa Cruz (home of Kyle Abbott haha!) for some time. I am very glad to hear about your Shamisen Hideki Kai! Somehow the link was blank when I went there but will try again later. Anyway thanks for sharing info here ! Great to hear from you!

Thanks for your message! Of course I know you lived in SC, because I am a fan of you and the monsters! I have your CDs. :slight_smile: So you are in Aomori now? I wonder if our video cannot be viewed outside of the U.S… Hope you can see it eventually. Let me know. Oh, you know, Jiro-san in this video, in fact, had told me that he used to have lessons with you! Small world.
