Shamisen just arrived!

…at my friends house DX
so i needa wait a couple days … till the 2nd of july till i get to open it but!
i begged him to open it and he opened it abit >.>;; to tease me.

how does it look?
i know its not the best of pics… i can see where everything is in the box… the small box must have the body of the shamisen…
the sao on the top… the other bit of the sao on the left and on the right in small boxes i think was just padding… or the itomaki

Very excited on getting to see it for the first time!
Please tell me what not to do, mistakes you’ve made etc
looks like it has no case :c

ill hafta make one.

Ill need a few things as mentioned by many of you when i originally bought the shamisen, like a rubber pad, a protective bit for the skin… ill need a case for it aswell… a yubikake (although i may use my armwarmers as a yubikake for awhile i think it should do the same stuff.
will need spare strings in bulk ^.^

roughly how much will all this cost? i was told my shamisen is a minyou tsugaru shamisen

Wait what, I wasn’t supposed to take that white protective layer of the body? :smiley: Sounded like a dangerous request to tell him to open it!

It’s very hard to see if the stuff is in good shape. You didn’t get a block of concrete at least.

XD lmao i did tell him to be very very carefull i was listening to him open it on the phone… i heard a saw like motion and my eyes just went wide … i thought he was using a saw to open a cardboard box! D: but it turned out to be a serrated knife xD

Okay just texted him to remind him to keep it away from direct sunlight and to not feed it after midnight.

just hope he doesnt get it wet >.> …if he does theyre will be tons of little furry shamigremlins running around breeding and having bachi fights with eachother.

Watch out for those shamigremlins. It can take days to clean up after them!

okay yeah not much to see yet but congrats on almost having your shamisen in your hands . . . and hope the last step goes well and it will be a good one . . .

actually today’s last taxi fare featured a friendly and hot woman in lingerie opening the door to accept her mcdonalds delivery - very nice and how thoughtful of her after I had spent most of the day driving elderly women to and from shopping malls . . . :slight_smile:

did I just embed the first picture on the bachido forum? well it works . . . although of course a general image embed option would be even cooler sometime I guess but this is cool already thanks Luke . . .

ooo! mcdonalds i’m tempted… hmmms well… i havent eaten anything but instant noodles in a month soooo i think ill go to mc donalds xD
