Just wanted to relay my gratitude to Bachido members Adrian Crovetto, Xander Peterson and Mike Penny! Last month, Kurihara Seiji (a shamisen player who I had met three years ago at the Kanagi taikai) contacted me about a performance in San Francisco which he wanted my involvement in.
It turned out the event was the day before I returned from Hawaii, so it was impossible for me to participate. Fortunately, Adrian, Xander and Mike generously volunteered their time and energy to represent Bachido in Kurihara san’s event. Mike even came from LA to attend! Dare I say, the event turned out even better than it would have if I were there!
My sincere appreciation and gratitude goes out to these three! It feels wonderful that I could depend on you guys for coming to the rescue! What a team!
