(Sorta) Native American Shamisen

This is a song based on “Native American Love Song” performed by The Black Lodge Singers. I call mine “Turtle Island Love Song” since the complete version will be a bit of a departure from the original. (BTW, I’d love to know how to say “Turtle Island Love Song” in Japanese!)
I recorded this quite some time ago. I’ve been hesitant to share it because this is an incomplete arrangement of the song. Plus, my camera battery died mid recording so you’ll only hear a tiny sample of it. PLUS, I’m a much better player now (I think).
Anyway, this should give you an idea where the tune is going somewhat.

Hey Chet,

That was awesome, it’s really pretty. Now record the rest coz you were getting into it!

Wow, that’s very pleasing to listen to. I really enjoyed it. Well constructed and well played!

亀井島恋歌 Kamei Shima Renka. (Turtle Island Love Song)

Ah, thank you so much for the translation. I was, of course, able to find the words “kamei” and “shima” but was clueless as to the translation for “love song.” So again, thanks.

I’m also glad you like the song even though you didn’t get to hear much of my variation on it. Thank you, everbody.
