Spotify is pretty new in the US but has existed for quite a while in some countries in Europe. It’s a music player that basically contains most of the sold music ever made, available for you to search through and play at will. It really is very convenient. The best part is that its totally legal because everytime you play a song, the artist will get paid because spotify has made deals with the record labels.
Now I heard that in the US you need to be invited to try the free version of the program, so I thought I could invite you because as a paying user I get 2 invites every month. The free version contains some ads and you can only play a single song 5 times a month, which is a bit restrictive but its to make you get a feel for the software. Here in Sweden I can choose to pay around 12.5$ a month to become a premium user and get access to Spotify in my cell phone as well. However I chose the cheaper version that gives me everything except the cell phone and that’s at half the price.
Now the most important part here is that there is Shamisen music on Spotify, Monsters of Shamisen, Yoshida Brothers and others so I thought we could get into making cool playlists to share with eachother.
According to the website, www.spotify.com - “If you have an invitation, you can invite friends to Spotify Free if they live in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France, Spain, The Netherlands or the US.”
Note, this is by no means advertisement, it’s simply me having a lot of invitations and feeling that I might as well share them here because I use the program every day and it gives me new music, I pay the artists and I don’t have to store music in my bookshelf or on my PC.
Send me a PM or reply to the thread if you want an invite, I currently have 19 of them.
ah same here in finland
